I'm flying Taca airlines to San Jose and I'll have 5 boards in a coffin boardbag, has anyone had problems doing this before. Their website says they only allow 2 boards per bag, but most airlines say this and I've never had anyone actually check. Thanks for the help.

I fly Lacsa which is part of Taca. Flying out of Miami, I have been checked every time.

Damnit! Between the wife and I we have to get 5 surfboards and 3 big rolling suitcases down there. I guess we'll be paying overweight/extra baggage fees! Thanks for the info, though. Anyone else?

Yeah, they do check if you get the wrong agent at the countrer. I'm 50/50 on slipping through, but a 5 boarard bag? You're getting checked.
