Board Question

Anyone know What would be a good surfboard brand n ft for beginner n how long does it usually take to pick up on catching a wave with longboard. Thnx

cheap and used is my best advice, no sense spending top $ when you will wreck it anyway. buy a used stick learn on it, trash it (trust me you will) and move up in a year or so.

if you go everyday there are waves you may be proficient in a year. THere is a steep learning curve but worth every hold down and wipeout when you get a good one.

What board brand n height you think would be good for me as total beginner. im like 5'8 like 200lbs. Plus i bodyboard now so i got the thing of turning into the waves and catching a wave too. how much you think i should spend on a first board too. Cya
