shuttle landing and summer surf

dean has been pretty good to us. never got too close, threw some swell our way, and made the shuttle's landing approach up the E coast- giving us the bad as$ boom. the surf is yesterday, martin cty:)

yeah, it wasn't exactly picturesque... but it is summer and florida
i have yet to find anywhere around here that works on a SE swell. it is certainly not for a lack of trying, but the barrier island here is a pretty straight shot. it seemed like the swells were building pretty nice, but they crapped out at the last second. but every now and then an organized swell would power through. sunday/monday looks pretty fun. at least we'll have an ENE swell.
