Right on NE surfer!

well in case you haven't been keeping track
this is the only year on record that two cat 5 storms made landfall.

Oh yeah Mexico doesn't count right? Well, um I'm sure the people that got whacked feel different. Just cuz the ole USA didn't get whacked and have a media frenzy...

The sun does not rise and set on US soil. Pull your heads out of your asses and take a look around.

Agreed sir sprocket,
just because there weren't 30 named storms this year doesnt mean it wasnt an active season, if it werent for La nina and if the Bahama high was sitting slightly farther north this summer, those 2 cat 5's could have been in your back door.

if you read up on the litterature a bit...(i mean real litterature, like scientific peer reviewed S**t, not this bunk that the media (and Exxon probably) spits out at the genaral public....) many in the field of climatology are saying that climate change wont necessarily increase the numbers of hurricanes, but may effect the intesity. i.e. 2 cat 5's making landfall in one season. read up and then maybe you'll sell your Hummer when you realize Florida may be under water in less than a century.

ok thats my rant for today, now go surf to counter act the bout of depression I may have induced!

Green is good.
