Hey guys my name's Grant i live by commercial pier in fort lauderdale but i surf mainly deerfield trespass cause it's an awesome break. anyway i went out yesterday around 5 at villas by commerical and it was some pretty bad chop, but i saw that big storm off the coast and could tell some stuff was coming. as per usual it starting to rain hard and sand was whipping in my face, but i stayed out anyway. the wind was totally onshore and crap, but after it passed the wind totally died out. it was really weird because the water was pure green with like a purplish/silver tint to it. im guessing some trade swell snuck in through the bahamas or something because waist to occasional chest high waves were coming in! i swear to god i had no idea what was going on i was tripping i had no i idea where this came from. nice a-frame sections were coming in and detonating on the sandbar. these were some plus peaks yesterday, i even got barreled on one. it was totally offshore winds or no wind at all and total glass for about an hour. this lasted for about an hour or so and then it turned back to crap. i was in the water from 5 PM to 7 PM on tuesday 8/8/06. did anyone else experience this yesterday?

Yep that big storm the raked Dade and Broward had a tremendous outflow the changesdd the local winds. It went offshore up here in Delray from 6 until it dead calm. Total glass and fun waist high SE lines. Thanks Mr. Thunderstorm.
