so i got a knock-off mp3 player to replace the one that took the salt-water bath; it's not the pinnacle of memory, so i am having to be a little decisive on what makes it on there and what doesn't.
so, that is pretty much the question... what album, song, etc. of yrs would make it.
for me it is the bands Pavement (specifically crooked rain, crooked rain) and promise ring (nothing feels good, very emergency, and wood/water).
pavement is just one of those albums that make me happy whenever i listen to it- and i listen to it at least three or four times a week... since the early
90's.
promise ring- i went to school in tampa and there was a really good public radio station- wmnf... i think 88.5??... at night they played everything from ska to straight-edge hardcore... and i heard a song by promise ring, but i didn't hear the name or the album... so, i went to the used cd store and got very emergency; this turned out to be the wrong album- so, i went back and got everything they had... it turned out the song was on nothing feels good and i really, really got into this album. and so it went. they were touring with bad religion and they were coming to tampa- so i got tickets and the lead singer found out he had a huge brain tumor and they cancelled the show; the coolest wife ever found out that some booking agency in chicago called flower 15 was having a promise ring/jimmy eat world show- it was last yr and a one-time deal. so we got super-cheap tickets and stayed with a friend up there... chicago freaking rocks, but i could never live there... it is just too much- of everything- but especially noise. as far as seeing promise ring- they were unreal.
jimmy eat world is a really good band- but they kind of did a U2 thing after the albums clarity and static prevails (which both absolutely made it on the mp3 player).
so, i am just curious what everyone else's story is if they were in my shoes.

I guess depends on the situation. I use my mp3 for mostly during workouts, running, or cycling, so the music is usually more aggressive.

On my MP3 player currently
Deftones
Tool
Korn
Staind
Nonpoint
Mudvayne
A Perfect Circle
Incubus (s.c.i.e.n.c.e.)
Killswitch Engage
Slipknot
It Dies Today
A Bullet for my Valentine

I said for the activities of working out etc, if I wanted more laid back music then go with:

Aerosmith
Led Zep
Coldplay
The Doors
Pink Floyd
311
Sublime
Dave Matthews
etc

I like all music but if I am working out I dont want to listen to Satellite - Dave Matthews

To each their own

The Cure Disenegration still rocks for a good romp in the sheets.

Also Enigma is cool

Being at work and school 24/7 causes me to slack which implies much use of myspace and surfxtc on the Macbook.. trust me, I won't be on this weekend.. .Ima gonna be on somethin' else! ;)

Back to topic:

Anyone like indie? If you do, show 2Fresh how to dance like an indie kid.
