Who does your travel plans. do you go to an agency or make up your own trip?

Really looking to get a full understanding of how to go from point A. to B.

I have never beeen outside the us and would like to know the normal process of getting out there, and What types of benefits one would have instead of planning everything your self or vice versa.

with the internet today lots of people booking it themselves.

However, if you use an agent you can play what if alot easier with flights and dates to get better pricing. Also, they can get discounts you can't otherwise (sometimes) so they are always worth a look.

I usually research myself and then call them.

Not going to endorse anyone in particular but have had good luck with Surf Express and Tico Travel. Both are owned/operated by surfers and are FL businesses (Cocoa and Ft. Laud. respectively).

Last 5 years though I've made all my own arrangements. Contact me and I can share my knowledge (for a beer or two :) )
