This morning I saw an older dude, big belly and surfing a shortboard. Yes.. a shortboard, and he's catching waves like everybody. Here is my point, I dislike longboards, and the people who ride them on wind chop days like today, they just take up good waves with the board advantage. Anyway, next time I see the older gentleman on the shortboard I'll let him take a couple, maybe you should too.

what you fail to realize is that on a day like today it is WAY more difficult to successfully surf a longboard than a shortboard.

I love the elderly. Especially those with bad backs.

2Fresh said he saw a 50 year old guy killing the lineup with a potato chip board. He said it was chest high today.

Gee, a shortboarder who doesn't like longboarders, I thought that crap ended like 10 years ago and everyone started riding anything.

Sprocket man, remember that nasty big chop day at dunes... I think you totally blew out your RC that day....

Amen Quest, especially for poor kids like me who have a long board and havent come across the funds to expand my quiver. Its definately a pain on windy choppy days with 9 feet of board.

Lifes too short to hate, especially when theres waves you should be on!

Dude, either loose some pounds or get a part time to pay for a real board. Unless you are 60 and weigh over 220 lbs. get a real board

Hmmm... I don't necessarily think it's about size... it's about how it rides... if ya know what I mean... unless it's too big... then it's hard to control.

Its all about knowing how and when to use it. Practice and you can ride anything...

I've had my 8'2" out in ankle high and overhead, I like the way it rides so I stick with it, its just a bitch to menuver on windy days. Although I wish I had as many boards to choose from as Quest...I've got my eyes on a Kane Garden twin fin fish...keep on saving

I win in the too many boards category. Got pretty much everything from a 5'6" '80s twin fin to a 12' paddle board. Well okay I don't have a big wave gun (don't need it round here or a tow board for the asame reason.....

Down to 17 boards now that I sold off about 6 or 7 of them....
