Doing this for my friend/landlord/neighbor. He's a great guy and landlord. His house is on one plot, our rental house and the cottage are on the other plot. All are separated by a 6 foot wooden fence.
What he said...
In Lauderdale, near Davie and 4th Ave. 10 minutes to the beach, 5 to downtown.
500 sq ft, freshly painted with new central AC, kitchen and bathroom.
$700 a month plus utilities ($100 average per year) for ONE person
$2100 due at move in (first last security)

What I say...
Last we spoke he said it was a month to month lease. Not sure on that.
Perfect for one person; It's small, but it and he are safe and dependable.
One of the main benefits would be car pooling for surf.

No knuckleheads...don't waste our time if you can't pay the bills and keep your act together. He'd rather not rent it than rent it to somebody that will give him any trouble.
