Surfrider Foundation Chapter Surf Off

O’Neill SI Pro Sebastian Inlet – Sunday, January 7th @ 7:30-9:30am

This will be a tag team surf competition of 4 members per chapter (at least 1 girl) that will decide who has the hottest surfing chapter in all of FL! Points will be given for both waves and being the first to complete the relay. I’ve heard rumors that there could be some ringers…..Come cheer and support your local chapter. Our judges will be none other than our very own Hobgood and Lopez brothers. Let’s see who is king of the Florida beaches! We hope to make this an annual event.

In order to considered for a chapter team you MUST be a current surfrider member. Contact your local chapter.

If you are a Palm Beach County chapter member and interested contact me directly. Team selection will be made by Jan 2, 2007.

Think about it, the chance to surf Seb Inlet with only a couple of other people on the peak!!!

Houoli Maka Hiki Hou! (Happy New Year) Surfriders!

TC Surfrider is Jam-Packed with events in January!!

But first, a Massive "Mahalo" to everyone who came to our Holiday Toy Collection Party at Osceola Street Cafe on Dec. 18th! Over $700 was collected in addition to a mountain of toys! Santa's Surfin' Elves hit the stores the next day and and spent every penny fulfilling the wish lists of over 60 kids at the Hibiscus Children's Center and Foster Care programs.

Gratis to Jordan, Tara and the cru at Ohana for helping sort and deliver the toys. Big ups to Josh, Lauren, Kristin and Debbie, Donna and Dorothy who delivered up a fantastic spread from OSC and Hurricane wings; and to Kelsea, Ehren, Morris, and Mike B. for their diligence working the booth and doors. Giant props go out to Cali, Jeremy and Travis from the BUZZ 103.1 who hooked us up with a ton of door prizes, including tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers! And a special thanks goes out to all of you who took the time to look at the wish lists and select a specific toy for one of the kids.

Now for our Jam-Packed January!
