Got to do the self employed. i've worked for a big corp. for the last 12 years of my life and could take it no longer. Started my business and making that trans. over. Keep in mond that your business will noramlly require more than 40 hours a week. I'm trying to balance two jojbs during the trans over and it's running me ragged. After I few months though, look out tropics

Depends on how much you are willing to work. Can be very nice for a high school student or college student.

Don't be a fool stay in school!
In this day and age you aren't going to get real far without a college education unless you take the time to learn a decent skilled trade (electrician, plumber, etc.)
But in learning the trade will take as much time as going to school so I dunno.
Not to mention that the girls in college are way hotter than the ones working construction!

Or get a job working nights then you can surf every day!
I work for myself and there are good months and bad months and the bad months can last for a long time.............I'm sick of Ramen noodles

That's why I'm working two jobs now. Working in construction and doing HVAC for new house sucks in at start up. got foot the bill for all the equipment and supplies and then wait to only get 50-80% of the contract until the house is closed on. doesn't seem like much but when you have 20,000 out of your pocket it hurts.

I totally agree with Sprocket. Gotta get the college edu-ma-cation. People are starting to say that even a bachelors isn't much for global economic competition. I'll have to admit, I worked and went to college full time, so I had no time for surfing compared to four years of a surf life in highschool, but it's worth it in the end.
Personally, I'm going to do something easy like bartend a few nights a week for a year before I head to law school in San Diego.

School is where it's at unfor. I tried to go for a year and failed out because i didn't want to be there. Stayed out for almost 3 years then grew up and went back and was deans list the rest of time. Do it when your ready but don't wait to long

If you are not sure what you want to be then go to college. College may not be a 24/7 hoot but at least you are working towards something posistve that can do no harm and only help you.
