Just moved here from cocoa beachh. I got bored earlyer and typed in south beach surf and found some pretty amazing videos. I wasent aware that there was any surf down here at all. Anyways. Is there any spots alot of people go to to surf when theres waves? Cuz itd be cool to meet some people. And im also pretty new to surfing, i only started about 2 months ago then had to move. whats up man..welcome to the MIA...
yea we get the occasional swell down here. There are a few spots that are pretty solid, the most well known and popular being on the southern end of south beach...1st street next to the inlet pretty much..too busy down there for me..If you go just a bit north there are other spots that are much more chill and condusive for beginners, as I am too..

I skimboard, its great b/c its real similar to surfing and its just another beach hobby that takes time and dedication to actually get "good" at. Sucks when you fall unlike surfing tho, I get hurt constantly.
