thanks Clambake for asking...well there are the up and down but globally my back has improved, the most pain come from the tail bone. Anyway to make a long story short I cannot surf 9hours straight as I used to but I can surf 1 hour without pain, so I am back in the lineup.
and for sure I will be surfing this weekend with "Madame"

Glad to hear you can get back in there. I've had some bad injuries that I thought would never heal, but time eventually took care of them. Hope it's that way for you.

I will be surfing this swell to death and will be wherever I need to be to do that. Just trying to get all caught up so I have no strings attached.

Have your madame lay off the strap on for a couple of days the soreness should then diminish
